The Christmas Wonderland at the magical Gardens by the Bay is probably the biggest Christmas festival in Singapore and is truly a dazzling spectacle!

Join the crowds at the bustling Festive Market selling handmade crafts, boutique goods and vintage items; all that will make excellent Christmas gifts. This year, the Christmas bazaar will also showcase 24 wooden huts specially designed to resemble famous Christmas markets throughout Europe such as the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Located conveniently beside the Supertree Grove, you can expect fantastic photo opportunities and get your Christmas shopping done at the same time!

Of course, the Christmas Wonderland is more than just a bazaar. Be enchanted by mesmerising light sculptures that are lovingly handmade by Italian craftsmen as you hum along to the cheerful tunes of Christmas carols. Also, be sure to visit Asia’s tallest golden Christmas tree – a breathtaking 7-storey high luminarie mirror maze that is a sheer work of art.

To create a more authentic yuletide experience, the organisers have also built an outdoor skating rink specially flown in from Switzerland. If you have never experienced a cold Christmas in Singapore, it is time to gather your friends and try out ice-skating under the stars.

There is so much more to see and do here, from shopping to carnival games to Santa Claus appearances. What a way to welcome the Christmas season!

Tip: Aside from the Christmas festivities, Gardens By The Bay is popular amongst tourists for being a horticultural wonder smack within the city. Get your discounted admission tickets (for tourists only) for Flower Dome and Cloud Forest now!

Due to an overwhelming debut last year, the Christmas Village at Orchard road is back again with a bigger bang. This year’s festival features the lovable Disney characters besides the usual festive lights, performances and carnival.

If you only have time to visit one Christmas bazaar, the Christmas Village is your best bet. Come down with your partner or the entire family to experience Christmas in Singapore. There are activities here to keep everyone, from young to old, in high spirits.

One of the must-dos is to take a ride on the enormous Venetian-themed Carousel right smack in the middle of the arena. This 56-seater duplex Carousel is the first to be seen in Singapore and it will be a hit with both the young kids and the young-at-heart.

After all that fun, remember to satiate your tummy with yummy eats at the Timbre X Food Village while watching nightly live performances by popular local bands. Did we also mention that Santa Claus is coming to Christmas Village every Friday and Saturday?

The entire Orchard shopping street is transformed into a Christmas wonderland with twinkling lights and festive decor during this period. So, put on your best smiles and snap some great pictures for memories!

Note: Tourists can take advantage of shopping privileges offered at various shopping malls along Orchard Road this Christmas season. More details can be found here.

Festive ornaments, hand-poured candles, one-of-a-kind stationery, handmade ceramic art, intricate accessories, a good selection of wines, Christmas treats – the list goes on. If you want to bring the smell of Christmas into your home, you can even buy a real Christmas pine tree here!

While the parents are shopping and snacking their way to the festive holiday, the little ones can be kept amused at various children’s craft workshops. They can get hands-on and learn how to make DIY glitter jars, design their ‘happiest’ bags or sew their own monster eye masks.

What makes it even better is that part of the children’s workshop ticket sales gets donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Christmas is the season of giving and sharing after all so this is a good chance to spread some much-appreciated festive joy to the unfortunate.

Not forgetting melodious Christmas caroling will be performed by the talented Vox Camerata choir every Saturday at 12pm. It is the best time of the year indeed!

Secret codes and mystery symbols of the Freemasons are a time of the past with the Masonic Christmas Night Market. This is the very first time a public event of this scale is being held on the grounds of Centenary Lodge, a historic 139-year-old Freemasons Hall in Singapore!

This may not be your typical kind of Christmas bazaar but it is worth a visit especially for tourists and curious non-masons.

Wander through booths selling original artwork and lifestyle items while you marvel upon the rare opportunity to set foot within this guarded compound. For those who are interested to understand more about Freemasonry, there are also two one-hour guided ticketed tours that will take you into the building itself.

To add to the yuletide spirit, proceeds from the tours and vendor booth rentals will be donated to Kidz Horizon Appeal that helps children and women in Singapore with chronic illnesses.
