5 Osaka Brunch Cafes That’ll Make Your Tummy Rumble

You’ve heard it once, twice, or maybe even a hundred times: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It replenishes your body’s nutrients after a whole night of sleep. In fact, that’s exactly how the meal got its name, because it’s breaking the overnight fast.

In Japan, a typical traditional breakfast comprises a bowl of steamed rice, miso soup, grilled fish, some Japanese pickles and omelette. However, there’s an emerging trend towards making a beeline for hip (and Instagrammable) Western outlets. Locals call it “comfort food in a foreign land”! (Pictured: Tamagoyaki, or Japanese rolled omelette.)

But we’re not here to give you a pep talk on health. To be honest, we’re just excited that there’s a good “science-y” reason to start our day with a delicious meal, guilt-free. And so, here’s our round-up of the top brunch spots in Osaka, Japan, to put on your radar.
