Meet Brianna Wong, our featured jet setter for this round of the Art of Travel.
This girl is quite literally living the dream: She’s travels monthly for work, runs one of Singapore’s top blogshops The Closet Lover (TCL), and is beautiful to boot. The fashionista is one half of TCL, which she co-founded with her sister Bertilla in 2007.
Last month, ChangiWiFi helped the Wongs stay connected as Brianna took a break from work trips and spent some well deserved quality time with her family in Taiwan. “My mum has always commented on my travel photos, saying how pretty the sight is or how she wished she was there,” she shares. This inspired her to take her parents overseas at least once a year, beginning last year.
Read about Brianna’s thoughts on work versus leisure trips, and how seeing the world helps keep her clothing brand fresh and innovative.

Staying connected thanks to @changirecommends this trip! ✨ Having internet access is such an important travel essential and I love that they provide 24 hours pickup and drop off for collecting and returning of the wifi routers. Major plus point that it allows multiple devices to get internet access!
#1 Why it is important for you to remain connected while aboard?
Firstly, I need to be contactable for work. The moment I’m connected to WiFi, I always load WhatsApp to check for any urgent messages. Secondly, I love being able to share my travelogue sightings with my followers. I use ChangiWiFi to post new photos and stories on social media. Lastly, I need the internet to search for good food! I also load maps for directions and to get transport.
#2 Tell us about this Taiwan trip.
Taiwan was a leisure trip: Since the start of last year, it was one of my goals to bring my parents abroad once a year. My mum has always commented on my travel photos, saying how pretty the sight is or how she wished she was there. My parents didn’t have the luxury of travelling while bringing us up so I thought it would be a nice gesture to let them see the world and experience different cultures as a way of saying thank you for everything.

One hella rollercoaster ride the last two days, but thankfully the family is here for each other. I have never received so many DMs ever until my inbox hung, so much love really! I teared reading some of them. From the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone for your well wishes and keeping us all in your prayers. The Wongs appreciate them all! ✨💕

#3 How is travelling for work different from travelling for leisure?
Work trips are usually quite organised in the sense we have a plan what to do or where to go, and they are kinda repetitive as I travel so often. Leisure trips are entirely different! I don’t travel with a fixed itinerary most of the time, I prefer to go with the mood of the day. It’s a lot more relaxing and there are definitely more surprises on such trips!
#4 Any tips for those who have to travel frequently for business?
Even though I travel frequently, I used to have a habit of forgetting something every other trip, like my sleep wear or my toothbrush. It took me quite a while to realise a checklist will help me in ensuring I bring everything I need. So if you don’t already have one, you can create a checklist with all the necessities you’ll need for your all your trips!
#5 Does travelling help inspire you for your brand, TCL?
That’s definitely a yes. Travelling to different parts of the world has taught me the different cultures and I have also had the opportunity to explore and to observe the different fashion styles and trends abroad. Though not all ideas from the trips are feasible in our local market, I’m always left in awe at how creative things can be, or how amazing people are. Such experiences leave me inspired, and give me the motivation to work even harder.
