If you’re thinking of visiting Melbourne, you’ve probably already heard all about the famous Queen Victoria Market. It’s got all the fresh food and confections that you can dream of: From beautifully marbled cuts of rib-eye steaks and ridiculously fresh abalones and lobsters, to freshly made donuts and local bottled honey. But every Wednesday night during winter, the market gets a makeover and turns into a hip night market.
With tents and fairy lights, the pop-up market has over 80 booths selling a mix of food, drinks, handmade products and souvenirs. There’s also a stage where the live bands perform, as well and roaming buskers who juggle and more.
Originally planned to end in September, the night market has been extended for another week, and so will only end on 4 October. If you’re travelling there these two weeks, make sure you drop by!
