Leofoo Village Resort
It may not have a big brand name like Disney or Universal Studios, but that doesn’t mean Leofoo is not worth visiting! In fact, Leofoo Village is one of Taiwan‘s top family attractions, with a hotel and theme park built around a safari.
A Wildlife Lover’s Paradise
The zoo looks like something off DreamWorks‘ Madagascar: There are free-roaming rhinos, meerkats, giraffes, and more. But what makes this safari resort truly unique is that the hotel is built around it, meaning that you can peek at these animals in the comfort of your own room. How cool is that? We can already imagine what an experience it must be to wake up to such a view! The safari-view rooms are very popular though, so if you’re hoping to book one, we suggest you do so early.
If your window is one glass panel too far away from the wildlife, you may also hire a 4WD to explore the safari. The herbivores are mostly free roam, and the more “dangerous” animals are kept in separate enclosures.
Great For Roller Coaster Junkies Too!
While you’re at the resort, spend some time at the Leofoo Village Theme Park. Take some time off Taiwan’s popular night markets and hiking trails and have some fun with the many roller coasters and live shows they have to offer. Leofoo is perhaps most famous for housing the thrilling twist-and-turn Screaming Condor ride (featured in Korean variety show Running Man), as well as the Proud Eagle (the first U-shaped spiral roller coaster in Asia). The theme park is split into four unique zones: Arabian Kingdom, African Safari, South Pacific, and Wild West.
FREE Virtual Queuing = No Time Wasted
As with most amusement parks, Leofoo Village Theme Park is usually very crowded, and queuing for rides can take quite a while. However, since October 2016, the Leofoo group has launched a first-in-Taiwan mobile queuing app called Lineup. The concept is similar to Disneyland‘s FASTPASS. With the app, visitors can simply switch on their Bluetooth, select the preferred ride, party size, and timing, and reserve a slot.

Currently, there are nine rides you can book through Lineup: Screaming Condor, Ring of Fire, Big Canyon Rapids Ride, Nairobi Express, Mighty Mountain Flume Adventure, 5D Dynamic Motion Theater Happy and Honey’s Adventure, Captain Cook’s Swinging Ship, Pancho Villa’s Crazy Barrels, Deep Sea Adventure, and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
